When my wife and I decided to do some major renovation of the kitchen, bathroom and basement at our Colonie home we contacted Brock Jennings of Jennings Construction based on the recommendations of someone whose opinions we value. We knew the job would require a complete re-do of the bathroom and kitchen, including painting, tiling, all new appliances, hardware installation, drywall, carpeting and electrical.

Brock was immediately responsive to our request for an evaluation and bid. Not only did he provide a specific dollar amount for the work, he went into great detail in describing exactly what the work would entail. Like many homeowners who’ve had the experience of getting a bid too little explanation as to exactly what is being proposed, we were impressed right from the start at Brock’s transparent, specific and professional approach. This became very important to us as we could not be present for the renovation. Brock kept us apprised regularly to give us updates and sending photos of the work as it went forward. If there was an incremental cost ( and they were few, thankfully!) Brock went into considerable detail to make sure we understood the options and the cost. As the work progressed and we saw the photos we were very pleased and greatly reassured about the choice of contractor we’d made. A good friend and neighbor was able to drop in from time to time and was amazed at the transformation taking place. One last thing that was of immense help to us was that when a supplier of materials and appliances began to lag, Brock personally intervened to clear up the backlog and ensure timely delivery.
